Tour description: The Pamir Highway (M41) is a route one of third tallest in the world, linking Dushanbe (Tajikistan) with Osh (Kyrgyzstan), that cross through the autonomous region of Gorno-Badakhshan on the Pamir Mountains. Where in old times the caravans passed here loaded with goods. The culminate point of route "M41" is the Akbaytal Pass (4655 m.). The Pamir Mountains are formed by the junction of the high mountain ranges of Tian Shan, Karakorum, Kunlun Shan and Hindu Kush. They are among the highest mountains in the world. Otherwise Pamir Highway - known as "Roof of the World". You will go through different valleys and your journey will take you along the spectacular Pandj River, which forms the border with Afghanistan. You will enjoy the Wakhan Corridor, formerly borrowed by the caravans of merchants and pilgrims since ancient times. You will admire the views of Hindu Kush and Pamir mountain ranges. Spectacular panorama of Lenin Peak, Muztagh Ata Peak and others peaks. You will meet with the original local  Pamir people (Pamiris) in the heart of this mountains and Kyrgyz shepherds on the major valleys of the high plateau at the edge of  Karakul Lake.

Day 1: Dushanbe. Early arrival to Dushanbe the capital of Tajikistan. Meet and transfer to the hotel. Breakfast. Drive to visit of Hissor historical reserve. Were you will visit the ruins of Hissor fortress - which was constructed in the 13th Century, old madrasah  (XVI c), New madrasah, Caravanserai (XVI c), Mosque Sangin, Mausoleum of Mahdumi A’zam (XVI c). Return to Dushanbe. Lunch at local restaurant. Discovery of the capital. Visit of Victory Park and Museum of Antiquities. and the colorful bazaars. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 2: Dushanbe – Kalaykhum (250 km, 7-8 hrs). Route to Kalaykhum – a little town on the Pamir Highway. This day you will cross through the magnificent views and across the Khoburobod Pass (3252 m), from where you can have a view to the Pamir Mountain range. And then will pass along Tavildara canyons. Accommodation will be at home stay.    
Day 3: Kalaykhum – Khorog (230 km, 5-6 hrs). Route to Khorog cityis the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan (in Tajik it means - Kuhistoni Badakhshon, "Mountainous Badakhshan") Autonomous Province (GBAO).  It is also the capital of the Shughnon district of Gorno-Badakhshan. The population is more 28,000. Khorog is situated 2,200 m above sea level in the Pamir Mountains at the confluence of the Gunt and Panj rivers. The two rivers merge in the eastern part of the city flow through the city, dividing it almost evenly until its delta in the river Panj, also being known as Amu Darya, or in antiquity the Oxus) on the border with Afghanistan. Khorog is known for its beautiful poplar trees that dominate the flora of the city. On the route some stops for shooting the excellent photos and discovery the life of local people of Pamir and visit of hot springs. That is just here the descendents of Alexander the Great. You can have a chance to take the exellent pictures. Accommodation upon your arrival. Little walking to discovery the city and its central park on the bank of Panj river. Dinner will be at local restaurant. Overnight.
Day 4: Khorog – Eshkoshim (104 km). Route to the village Eshkoshim through pictures views along  the river. You can enjoy the villages and a life of afghan people on the other side of Pandj River. On the route visit of hot springs “Garm Chashma”. Arrival to Eshkoshim village. Accommodation at Hanis Home stay.
Day 5: Eshkoshim – Langar (150 km). Transfer to the Langar village (that  means the «Balans»), because it situated in Wakhan valley, was known as a one of itinerary on the Great Silk Route. Most part of this valley situated in Afganistan side. En route visit of ruins of the ancient Yamchun fortress, the hot springs Bibi Fatima and from here you can observe the Wakhan corridor. In Langar village discovery of rock engravings.  Accommodation at home stay, constructed on Pamirian style. This style of constructions are conserved only in Pamir country, because this style borrowing from the Zoroastrian period). If this style interests you, you will see it on the place. Many modern constructions in Europe and on the worlds are imprinted this style… and of course on moderate style.
Day 6: Langar – Murgab. Route to the small town Murgab via Nayzatash Pass (4314 m) and via Alichur valley. This valley is located at more than 3000 m altitude and surrounded by high snow covered mountains and inhabited by Kyrgyzs and Pamir Tadjiks people. From here you will enjoy a high summit of Muztagh Ata Peak’s (7546 m). Walking to discovery the city and its traditional market and can test a Kyrgyz delicious dishes « Mantu ». (on the way it is possible to discovery of Bulunkul and Yashilkul Lakes). Overnight at home stay.
Day 7: Murgab – Kyzylart (border between Tadjikistan and Kyrgyzstan) – Sary Tash village. Transfer to the border through the Ak Baytal Pass (4655 m). Stop on the Pass to the pictures. Another stop will be near the Karakol river to have a views to Lenin Peak (7154 m). Meeting with the kyrgyz nomads is possible. Continue of the route to Kyzyl Art Pass (4280 m), cross the borders. Meet by kyrgyz guide and driver, than transfer  to Sary Tash village – where from antic time was a junction of Great Silk Route between Xi’an by Karakorum Highway and Samarkand by Pamir Highway. From Sary Tash village you can another views to the Alay mountain range with the summits more than 6-7 thousenders. Home stay accommodation or stay in the yurt camp.
Day 8: Sary Tash – OshFergana (260 km). Route to the Fergana valley via Osh city. You will have a short sightseeing in Osh city and then continue of the route to Fergana city. Crossing the borders « Doustlik ». Meet with Uzbek guide and driver, transfer to Fergana. Accommodation upon your arrival. Walking in the city.
Day 9: FerganaTashkent (350 km). Route to Tashkent the capital of Uzbekistan. En route visit Margilan’s Silk factory, the work of potteries in Rishtan city and Khudayar Khan palace (XIX c) in Kokand. Lunch in Kokand and continue of route to Tashkent via Kamchik Pass (2110 m). Accommodation at hotel upon your arrival. Dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Tashkent Full day sightseeing program of the capital of Uzbekistan. Overnight.
Day 11: Départure from Tashkent.

Tajik visa: is possible to obtain it at the airport if your arrival will be by flight to Dushanbe. Cost of visa at airport of Dushanbe = 40 $ + consular fees.
Copy of your passport and your color photo (3x4) are required when you will obtain your visa at the airport.

Day 10: TashkentBukhara. Morning train to Bukhara. Arrival at 2 PM and accommodation at hotel. Sightseeing program of old part of the city; visit of Labi-Khouse ansemble with its Madrasas and Khanaka from XVI and XVII cc, domes of commers and the caravanserais - which transformed to the artisans and handicrafts places. Overnight.
Day 11: Bukhara. Full day sightseeing program of Bukhara. Visit Samanid’s Mausoleum (IX-X cc), the Chashma Ayub Mausoleum (XII-XVI cc), oriental market of Bukhara, Bolo Khouse Mosque, Poyi Kalon ansemble with its Minaret Kalon (XII c), Kalon Mosque (XVI c) and Mir-i-Arab Mosque. Free time to explore the city at your own pace. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 12: BukharaSamarkand. Train to Samarkand the Pearl of Orient. Arrival at 11 AM, accommodation at hotel. Discovery of the monuments of Samarkand. Visit of Gur Emir Mausoleum, Registan square with three Madrasas, Ulugbek (XV c), Cher Dor and Tilla Kori XVII c). Overnight in Samarkand.
Day 13: Samarkand - Tashkent. Continue of discovery of the city; visit of ansemble of Shakh-i-Zinda mausoleums, oriental bazaar Siyab and Bibikhanum Mosque (XV c). Lunch and free time to explore the city at your own pace till departure by train to Tashkent at 5 PM. Arrival at 8:42 PM. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14: Tashkent. Full day sightseeing program of the capital of Uzbekistan. Overnight.
Day 15: Departure from Tashkent.
