Horse back riding, like any other hobby, has its own rules of etiquette which should be followed in order to fit in well and have an enjoyable and safe experience. For this program the athletic ability of the rider must be at a distance of 20-30 km or more away in a day. Equestrian guide has the right to change the route depending on your knowledge to stay on the horse to prevent from any unforeseen hazards.

Itinerary: Bishkek – Chong Kemin valley – Issyk-Kul – Karakol – Jety Oguz – valley of Chong Kizil Suu river – Pakrovka village – OshFerganaBukharaSamarkand - Tashkent

Tour description: The tour to discover the fascinating mountain range Terskey Ala Too, located south of the Issyk Kul Lake, the second largest mountain lake in the world after Titicaca. With the agility of Kyrgyz horses, you will cross mountains and rivers. You will meet the nomadic Kyrgyz people who surround you its millenary culture. This tour fill all the wishes of the amateurs of horse riding, between tradition and fascinating landscapes as described in the Kyrgyz epics.

Tour program:

Day 1. Bishkek – Chong Kemin valley. Arrival in Bishkek. Getting the Kyrgyz visa at the airport. Meeting and transfer to Chong Kemin valley. Home stay accommodation. Horse riding along the valley. Overnight

Day 2. Chong Kemin valley – Karakol. Transfer to Karakol city by the north side of Issyk-Kul Lake. En route discovery of the Petroghliphes in Cholpon Ata town. Accommodation upon your arrival in Karakol. Visit of Karakol city. Overnight.

Day 3. Karakol – Jeti Oguz gorge. Full day horse riding to Jeti Oguz gorge. On the way we will discovery and enjoy the magnificent valley of Kyzyl Unkur and panoramic views of the pine forests of the mountains red and ochre colors. Overnight at guest house. (25-30 km)

Day 4. Jeti Oguz – valley of Chong Kyzil Suu river. Horse riding to the geo-physic station of the valley of Kyzil Suu River through the red and ochre color mountains. Swimming in the hot springs. Night at the refuges. (30-35 km).

Day 5. Chong Kyzil Suu river – Kashka Tor Pass. Easy horse riding to the Kashka Tor Pass (14 km). We will  enjoy the splendid views of snow covered peaks. Night in the refuge.

Day 6. Chong Kyzil Suu river – Pakrovka village. Horse riding down to the Pakrovka village (20-25 km). Lunch at restaurant. Transfer to Bishkek. Arrival and accommodation at hotel. Overnight.

Day 7. BishkekOshFergana valley. Early breakfast at hotel and transfer to the airport (30 km). fly to Osh and further to the Kyrgyz/Uzbek border “Dustlik”. Border and custom formalities. Meeting with Uzbek guide and driver. Transfer to Fergana city (100 km). Sightseeing program of city and surrounding. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8. FerganaTashkent. Transfer to Tashkent (300 km) via Kamchik Pass (2110 m). En route visit of Khudayar Khan palace in Kokand. Arrival to Tachkent and accommodation at hotel. Overnight.

Day 9. TashkentBukhara. Morning train to Bukhara. Arrival and accommodation at hotel. Short sightseeing program of old part of Bukhara. Lyabi-Hauz complex (XVI-XVII cc.), Magoki Attori mosque and Commercial domes of XVI century and Poi-Kalan complex (XII-XVI cc.). Overnight.

Day 10. Bukhara. Sightseeing in Bukhara: Visit Samanids Mausoleum ( IX – XII cc. ), Chashma Ayub Mausoleum (Job's well. XII-XVI cc.), Bolo Khauz mosque, Ark – ancient fortress (VI-VII cc.). Lunch. After lunch free time. Overnight.

Day 11. BukharaSamarkand. 8:15 AM Morning train to Samarkand. Arrival at 11:20 AM and accommodation at hotel. Sightseeing program in Samarkand: Visit to the heart of SamarkandRegistan Complex (XIV-XVI c.) with its 3 famous Madrassah: Sherdor, Ulugbek and Tilla-Kori. Visit to Guri-Emir Mausoleum (place where a great king Tamerlan is buried), Rukhabad necropolis (XV c.). Visit to Bibi-Khanum cathedral mosque (XV c.) and oriental Bazaar of Samarkand. Overnight.

Day 12. Samarkand. Continue of discovery of Samarkand. Visit to the Ensemble of Shakhi-Zinda Mausoleums and Afrosiab Museum. After lunch free time in Samarkand. Train to Tashkent at 5:00 PM. Arriving at 8:42 PM. Meeting at the railway station and accommodation at hotel. Overnight.

Day 13. Tashkent. Sightseeing in Tashkent or free time. Overnight.

Day 14. Tashkent – departure. Transfer to the airport and departure from Tashkent.

Who wants to travel far from home, leave for several days on horseback... is a real trip. You should know everything you need and take anything that is necessary in order not to fatigue your companion!

There are certain rules of horse riding which you should follow:

  • Comfort for the horse and rider.
  • Bags and fonts should not rest directly on the horse or make an angle or point of friction. Neither form nor their position not interfering with rider in his movements or his comfort.
  • The belts that must be foolproof, especially for bags, which often bear the brunt. Be very picky about the strength of fasteners.
  • Tightness and fundamental. It must be maintained regardless of the subject.
  •  Riders must always follow the advice of the equestrian guide and riding in the same direction as him,
  •  Necessary to mount the horse on the right side of horse,
  •  All riders in the group must follow one after the other,
  •  Announce your intentions to other riders in the group,
  •  Orders should be given quietly and not interfere with other riders,
  •  Always follow the rules say your guide,
  • Keeping a horse length between you and the rider closest to not trample other riders,
  •  Do not smoke while riding,
  • Keep your horse under control at all times,
  • Stay aware of your surroundings and everything going on around you,
  • If you do something that creates loud noises to be that everyone is aware so as not to frighten another horse,
  • Do not go alone, always another person in the event of an accident,
  • If a rider falls from his horse all other riders must dismount until everything returns to normal,
  • In case of emergency be sure you know where the nearest telephone, emergency numbers and first aid kit

Follow these simple rules that should allow you to participate in your favorite travel without causing damage or injury to others. Remember, you took this trip for fun and to be friends, not to spoil it by being careless or rude. Maybe most of you enjoy his first experience of riding.
